About this activity

The USA is an incredible country to have family adventures - there is just so much to explore!

New Mexico River Adventures are a family owned company which offers very fun, relaxing, and exciting rafting trips in the beautiful state of New Mexico!  The tours range from full days of whitewater rafting, 3 days trips for a bit more of a challenge, or a fun afternoon float with the kids - so there will be something for everyone!

For kids 13 years old and over, the Rio Grande Gorge Full Day trip is the most popular - and you can see why! It has it all, AND it's perfect for the whole family!

Make sure you keep an eye out for the wildlife along the banks - from mule deer, beavers to river otters! There are great sections of the river where you can practice paddling techniques, have a swim and just enjoy nature! You will even stop for a very tasty lunch on the side of the river!

But don't forget - it is whitewater! So there are 6 miles of the trip which are Class II and III rapids - but still great for beginners!

The other favorite, of course, is the relaxing family rafting with kids option! New Mexico Rafting Adventures have created the perfect adventure for those kids over 5. You can take half day or full day Rio Grande tours, and both of the trips offer Class II and III whitewater rapids which will excited the kids but not scare them. For those kids under 5, they have half and full day float trips without any rapids at all, so they really can accommodate the whole family!

Get out into nature with New Mexico River Adventures, and get that adventure into the whole family!
