I would not say this is the worst place I have ever been… But it’s top 5 along with hospital and a police station. I really wish there is something I could say to explain how much this place is a standard for all the things that are a bad advert London, but it will stay busy. If you want to go to shore ditch (home of alternative, which I am not) and find a club that acts like uni, charges 20 quid entry, turns away normal people because they are looking the wrong way and serves a can of red stripe for 5 quid at the bar, come and enjoy. Sadly everyone I have met here hates it and will come back next Friday… Sigh

i remember the first time I went, it was actually quite enjoyable, and not too expensive a night out…the last couple times I’ve been, have been due to being dragged along by mates, and it has always been shit…entry has now shot up to £20, bouncers seem to be getting ruder and ruder, and drinks more and more expensive…music has become so much more commercial as well…yawn, stay away from this dive of a place, it’s not worth your time (and money)

I always have a fantastic time at Cargo. Two dance areas where one opens up after 10PM (no coats/jackets allowed in that dance room). Great lighting system and most of all good music – RnB, House, Pop and a few retro songs from the 80s and 90s. There’s also a lounge area with a different DJ and a huge outdoor area which is perfect for those cool summer nights. Entry is free on Fridays until 10PM then £10. On Saturdays it’s free up until 9PM then £15. If you love dancing, this is a great place to be especially when the atmosphere here is down to earth compared to some other West End clubs.

I believe this place to be racist. I am mixed, have lived in London all my life and have gone to Cargo’s with different friendship groups over the last year or so. Never had a problem getting in with my white friends but when i go with my black friends the bouncers always say no no matter what we dress in (and we all go shoreditch in the standard white shirt jeans and shoes flex) I recommend bedroom bar on the same road much better vibes and feeling of acceptance instead of being judged for skin color.
