Woolsthorpe Manor is a historic house, home to Isaac Newton. Stand in the rooms he did, explore the nature of light and explore the gardens and apple tree which inspired his theory of gravity.
The family can get stuck into science and history here as you'll find out how Isaac Newton changed the world. You can visit the Hayloft to find out more about Nwwton's prophetic birth and discove how he became so widey known.
Inside the house is Newton's Chamber which has been set up to resemble what it would have looked like. It's also the room where he used a prism to split light into rrainbow colours, and you'll get to see the apple tree that inspired his thinking on gravity. The tree is pruned regularly and continues to grow and bear blossom and fruit.
There's a science centre too for all ages! Have fun experiementing and learn about the principles of Newton's work and do some problem solving too! Test Newton's theories and walk in the footsteps of Isaac Newton as you stroll around the manor.
