The Alnwick Garden is a beautiful and fun day out for all the family! It's home to one of the world's largest wooden tree houses, with walkways in the sky, and adventurous rope bridges.
The Alnwick Garden plays host to the small but deadly Poison Garden filled exclusively with around 100 toxic, intoxicating, and narcotic plants. The boundaries of the Poison Garden are kept behind black iron gates, only open on guided tours. Visitors are strictly prohibited from smelling, touching, or tasting any plants for your own safety!
As if this wasn't cool enough, soon The Cherry Orchard will erupt in bridal white blossom! A clear sign that spring has arrived, blossom season celebrates the transient beauty of nature and seeing the largest Taihaku Cherry Orchard in the world in full bloom is a great way to join in! Keep a close eye on all 329 Taihaku Trees with us as via their Blossom Watch Live Stream.
The Garden also features the Grand Cascade, a tumbling mass of water with shooting jets, and the Rose and Ornamental Gardens. The Serpent Garden features interactive water sculptures, and there's also the Bamboo Labyrinth and the Poison Garden, with dangerous plants and their gruesome stories. So whether you're looking for a relaxing day out or an adventure, its perfect!
Programmes of activities and events run throughout the year, so keep an eye on their website for updates.
