About Kelburn Castle Country Centre

Kelburn Castle Country Centre is based around a 13th century castle near Largs in Ayrshire and features dramatic walks, gardens and plemty of history around every corner! 

You'll find a secret forest which is open daily and follow the winding pathways and discover the giant's castle, crocodile swamps and more! There's no map, so you'll need to trust your instincts and find your way around - it's an adventure! 

There is an adventure course too where you can test your agility and balance on the challenging walkways, tunnels and stepping stones. It's a natural area where structures have been integrated to the landscape. You'll also find a wooden foot with a raised walkway, taking you around the outer battlements and an indoor playbarn too if the weather takes a turn!

The estate also have resident animals. There are alpacas, geese, sheep, goats chickens, ducks and even a ginger tom cat wandering about! The estate is also home to lots of wildlife, from tiny wrens to deer in the grass, so see what you can spot on your visit. 

There are plenty of beautiful trails and walks too, where you get to take in the wonderful views of the glen. It's a great chance to get out in nature and go exploring!
