Dunster Water Mill is a working Victorian watermill, containing three floors of traditional machinery and running milling demonstrations. You'll also find an acient castle and country home with plenty of parklands and wildlife to explore.
There is over 1,000 years of history to uncover and lots of stories to listen to! In the castle you can admire the scenery from the conservatory window, with views across the hills! You'll also see some rare leather hangings and plenty of books too! There's also an impressive grand staircase with intricate carvings.
At the mill, you'll see the wheels in action and the water supplier by the leat from the platform. Lear about the history of the mill through photos, documents and historic items on display. Upstairs, you'll see the wheels turning where the grain is ground into flour.
On your visit, the team may be milling the flour too! There's plenty of activity going on and you can also buy some flour to take home with you.
Don't forget to explore the gardens too as you will be taken on a journey throughout the world. There's plenty of different plants and features, microclmates and more too for a relaxing trip through nature.
