About Calderglen Country Park
Calderglen Country Park is a great family day out for the whole family, featuring a zoo, tropical glasshouse, gardens, trails and play areas!
The park is located along a scenic wooded glen, which extends over 5km and has lots of attractive waterfalls and important geological features. The northern section is a geological site of special scientific interest.
The zoo is a must visit and has a range of exotic and endangered animals including owns, wallabies and the cheeky meerkats. If you are an animal lover, why not purchase one of the animal experiences and become a keeper for the day. You can handle some of the smaller animals, clean enclossures and even have breakfast with the animals!
At the park there are also over eight miles of nature trails of varying abilities and lots of wildlife to see. Visit the conservatory with tropical displays of plants from around the world.
For the young children there is a dedicated play area with lots of play equipment for them to burn off some energy!
Refuel in the cafe or even bring a picnic and relax outside!
