Avoncroft Museum of Historic Buildings is home to over 30 historic buildings and structures all in rural Worcestershire. In total, you'll have 19 acres of countryside, meadows, gardens and buildings to explore and it's a great day out to learn more about the Midlands history.
Avoncroft Museum rescue structures and re-build historic buildings and date from the fourteenth century to post second world war. Every effort has been made to retain as much of the original structure as possible. One of the structures is the Guesten Hall Roof which was originally built all the way back in 1330.
The cottage and forge is 18th century and was occupied by blacksmiths during the 19th and 20th centuries. As well as this, there are windmills, church, stables, town houses and much more spanning years of history!
You'll also find some beautiful gardens and grounds too! There's an apple and bear orchard with varities of fruits that are used to produce some local goods. There's a farm pond which attracts lots of wildlife, so come take a look to see what you can find! It's a great space to enjoy nature, especially when the weather is nice!
