Ashclyst Forest is a magical forest on the Killerton estate and is one of the largest woods in East Devon! There's endless of natural woodland pastures and lots of exploring to do for the little adventurers!
The forest is a haven for wildlife and it's a great place to reconnect with nature, whether you want to go for a relaxing stroll or have a picnic here! The estate has over 700 hectares of woodlands and lots of rare wet woodlands and habitats for a variety of wildlife.
There are many species of animals that live here. From deer, nesting birds, butterflies and so much more. Bring you camera and snap some photos of them!
Why not bring your dog here too? The forest is really dog friendly and it's a great place for a walk. Just remember to keep them on a lead and in control ans it's a working estate with livestock around.
Horse riders can also explore the park too, with miles of permissive bridleways and expansive views of the countryside!
From Broadclyst follow the B3181 north towards Cullompton. Go straight past the junction to Killerton house and garden. Take the next right signposted to Ashclyst. Continue going straight ahead into the forest. You will find Forest Gate car park on your left hand side with a green 'Ashclyst Forest' sign at it's entrance.
