Mount Buller
Mount Buller is one of the most impressive sites to see in Victoria. Mount Buller stands at an altitude of 1804 meters above sea level. This impressive spot has over 22 lifts which makes this the largest ski lift network in the whole of Victoria.
The area is well known for being the state’s premier skiing spot and home to many wonderful spas. Equally, if you’re visiting during the summer you can take the little ones on many wonderful bike rides with the plethora of hiking trails.
Grampians National Park
If you’re a family that enjoys an adventure then Grampian National Park is well worth a visit. Grampian is arguably one of Victoria’s most exhilarating bushwalking landscapes. The best time to visit Grampian is from August to October when you can enjoy the beautiful spring flowers and natural habitat.
This park is famous for family hikes due to its ancient Aboriginal rock art paintings located in areas such as the magnificent views of Mount William and the Billimina shelter.
If you’re lucky you will get to see some of the natural wildlife, the kiddies will love the wild animals such as kangaroos and Koalas and roaming emus.
Ballarat
Ballart is one of the most historic places to visit in Victoria due to its rich history. Christened as the birthplace of Australian Democracy due to the significant events that took place during the 1854 Eureka Uprising.
Only a short drive from Melbourne, this place has many wonderful things to see for the kids. No trip to Ballarat is complete without visiting the Eureka Miners.
Wilson Prom
Wilson Prom is one of the wildest places to visit in Australia. This incredible park features ranging scenery from the spectacular flora and the Granite Mountains. Families can enjoy a local surf, explore the wildlife and enjoy one of the many walking trails.

Philp Island
Philips Island is a short drive from Melbourne City. There are plenty of activities at Philip Island for the family to partake in, everything from motor racing, hiking to surfing.
One of the main attractions of Philp Island is the adorable penguins. Families flock to Philp Island to witness the penguins in their natural habitat. On route to Philp Island, we suggest you stop over at San Remo where you can catch a glimpse of the pelicans. Early morning hours are the best time to visit these amazing birds.
