Over the next century, Los Angeles developed, with a major boom in population occurring in 1848 after gold was discovered in California. The city was incorporated in 1850, its first newspaper arrived in 1851, and today, it's become one of the most popular cities in the US to visit. LA isn't just great for its movies and movie stars, it also has plenty of family fun too!
