About this activity

Yellowstone National Park is an experience that every child needs to have. It's one of the most incredible sites in the entire country.

It's so big it spans across Wyoming, Montana and Idaho, and is home to some incredible sights and wildlife. Herds of bisons roam freely in front of you as you drive across the plains which could be taken straight from an image from a history book. Bears, wolves and elk also call the park home.

Yellowstone National Park also has a collection of the world's most incredible geysers and hot springs. Just look at the colors! Bright yellows, piercing blues and stunning reds are all naturally infused into the ground. How many other colors can you spot?

Heard of Old Faithful? It's right here! It goes off a certain intervals without fail (hence the name!) and creates a huge gushing sound as the water is sprayed from the earth's core. Amazing!

There are five entrances to the park so make sure you read about them al before you visit. The North Entrance near Gardiner is open all year round to wheeled vehicles (RV'ing is a popular way to experience the park too, as there are RV parks set up perfect for families).

The other entrances are seasonal, Don't be put off by the winter months at Yellowstone. The snow covered landscape will give you lasting memories and incredible wildlife viewing! You can also enjoy some super fun winter activities in the snow!

The park can be enjoyed as a day trip, but there is so much to see try and extend it out to a weekend. You won't be disappointed. In fact, you will probably leave trying to work out when you can visit next!
