Ready for a family day out with a difference? How about testing those skills and learning survival training at the White Pine Wilderness Academy in Indiana!

Kids as young as four years can get involved in this great nature-based experience. They offer daily drop ins, as well as longer programs if you really want to hone those skills!

Located on the island of Rocky Ripple in Indianapolis, White Pine Wilderness Academy is surrounded by riparian habitat. It's certainly a classroom with a difference, out in the Eastern Deciduous Woodlands!

The curriculum for your family day out here is aboriginal technology, and harnessing the knowledge of our hunter gatherer ancestors. 

Not only can kids learn about survival, they can learn about history and culture too!

Utilising these skills ensures all who visit foster a connection with nature. Kids and adults too will also learn invaluable life skills, such as confronting fears and over coming them, exploring transformative experiences and changing the way the mind thinks through science of tacking and bird language. 

It's pretty incredible!

There are age appropriate camps for kids, including Tree Frogs for 4 to 6 year olds, Flying Squirrels for 6 to 8 year olds, right up to Warrior Scouts Club for those over 13 years. 

White Pine Wilderness Academy offer day camps, after school camps, summer camps and even overnight camps for those adventurers over 9 years. 

Parents, there are programs for you too, including high speed survival and inner tracking!
