About this activity

Who's ready for year round fun in the heart of Pocohontas County?  We are, so let's all head to Watoga State Park

Located in the beautiful mountains just 14 miles south of Marlington, Watoga State Park is actually West Virginia's LARGEST state park - pretty impressive!

In fact, it covers over a whopping 10,000 acres of land, and is FILLED with a host of recreational activities for the whole family to enjoy! How much fun do you think you can have in one day? Shall we test it?

Perhaps you want to stick those hiking boots on and take to the many trails throughout the park, or perhaps take to the lake and enjoy some fishing! Maybe even take a boat out and see the park from a whole new point of view!

There are biking opportunities, and perhaps something different with geocaching - go on, challenge yourselves!

If you want to extend your stay (make sense!) then check out the year round vacation cabins that they have within the grounds.

Kids - perhaps you can try and make a game out of wildlife spotting! Enjoy a scavenger hunt seeing how many species you can spot. You never know what you might come across!

So grab those sense of adventures, and head out to the LARGEST state park in West Virginia, for a very big day of fun!
