Montana is a beautiful state perfect for families to go exploring, and if you ever head there, you will see why! Timber Wolf Resort is an ideal location to base yourself if you are traveling through to see sights such as Glacier National Park, which is in Flathead Valley in northwest Montana.

They have camping options for all families! Get back to nature with their primitive tent campings, or enjoy the comfort of your own RV with the basic and full hook up sites.

If you want to just pack your bags in a car and get on your way, you can stay in one of their super cozy cabins or enjoy a room in their lodge.

You will be surrounded by lush forests and native wildlife, so you have peace and seclusion as you sit back, relax with a good book or a tasty family meal and enjoy the snow capped peaks around you - perhaps even spot some wildlife! Do you think you could tell the difference between a deer and an elk? Try and spot them to find out!

They have BBQ and picnic areas to enjoy those home cooked meals, fire pits and even a playground for kids to play on. For those active families you can enjoy some nature walks, hiking trails and biking trails.

Nearby the resort there are a ton of fun things to do, such as stream fishing, tennis, water skiing, mini golf, horseback riding, lake fishing, downhill skiing, boating, art festivals...and so much we don't have room to mention! We can leave them as a surprise...!

If you are coming from Hungry Horse on Hwy 2 traveling east, keep going out of Hungry Horse and the first entrance on the right is Hungry Horse Dam Road.

If you are coming from West Glacier on Hwy 2 traveling west, head out of West Glacier and drive through Coram past Martin City, then turn left in their entrance. They are about 9 miles west of West Glacier.

Timber Wolf Resort FAQ’s

Glacier National Park is the most popular attraction in the area, but you also have a host of off-site activities to do, both summer and winter.

BBQ and picnic area, as well as banquet facilities, BBQ facilities and firepits! There is also a general store where you can pick up some bits and pieces.

In addition to all the activities already mentioned, they have Wifi, a book exchange, bird watching, ice sales, email station and fax / photocopy service, firewood sales, showers and they also sell propane if you need it.
