About this activity

Are you ready for a pre-historic adventure in Utah? The Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point takes you back through millions of years of history, with a full day of learning, exploration, and yes, dinosaurs!

This fascinating museum is where you can explore a Carboniferous Forest, and deep dive into an ancient Cretaceous Ocean, and see one of the world's LARGEST displays of mounted dinosaurs with a whopping 60 complete dinosaur skeletons in the galleries!

Museum of Ancient Life also gives kids an immersive educational experience as atmospheric sounds accompany them through over 50 larger than life exhibits, including playing with toy dinosaurs in the Erosion Table, and digging for fossils!

Don't miss a visit to the working paleontology lab where scientists are unearthing real dinosaur bones real time! Kids can also be inspired as they pretend to be a paleontology themselves in the Junior Paleo Lab as they drill  a real fish fossil to take home, and cast their own fossil!

If you want the adventure to keep going into the night, check out a 3D movie at the Mammoth Screen, or take some paleontology classes!

A family day out millions of years in the making, The Museum of Ancient Life at Thanksgiving Point is DINO sized fun!
