About this activity

There is SO much to see and do at this hands-on museum in Kalamazoo, we don't know where to start!

The Kalamazoo Valley Museum is a great way for not only the kids to learn through play and experimentation, but adults too!

Each exhibit and area features information on it's own fascinating subject, each with learning and development in mind.

Have you ever wondered what the Mystery of the Mummy is? So have those at the Kalamazoo Valley Museum, which is why they have a whole exhibit dedicated to this part of Egyptian history. Kids can learn about the technologies that have revealed the secrets, from carbon dating to where they were from!

There is a whole exhibit on time, where you can marvel at the three story display filled with artifacts all relating to time, and history. It's the museum's most prized collection!

Science in Waiting is waiting for you! This is a fun, lively and very hands-on experience where kids can touch, feel, hear and discover. They can learn about electricity, the human body, and energy. They can take their pulse, have fun with prisms, and even design a race car on a 14 foot racetrack!

The, for those little ones, the Children's Landscape area is great for those aged 2 to 5 to enjoy age appropriate hands on fun.

Did we mention the museum also has a state of the art planetarium, and theater? Yep!

Amazing fun in Michigan for all!
