Who loves nature? Hands up....don't be shy? Well, if you love exploring colorful and exotic plants from all over the world, you might want to head to the Los Angeles County Arboretum and Botanic Garden, where they are 127 acres of nature!
Here, they cultivate the natural, historic and horticultural resources so families just like yours can learn, enjoy, and be inspired by.
The aim of The Arboretum is to give you an amazing experience as you explore the paths, discover the unique plants and wildlife that represent species from all over the world, and ensure you have a great time!
Many of the plants are rare and endangered, so it's a great time for kids to learn about conservation across the planet, and why we should be looking after what Mother Nature created.
Want to hear something really cool? The Arboretum has it's own waterfall too. Pretty amazing!
Did you know that The Arboretum is also an official wildlife sanctuary? Not only do they have their famous peafowl as residents, but they have species of resident and migratory birds too, as well as small reptiles and mammals. What do you think you will spot on your visit?
If you want to get a bit more out of your journey through nature, there are tram tours, which are scheduled on weekends, as well as docent-led or self-guided walking tours.
With events throughout the year too, why wouldn't you want to visit The Arboretum? It's learning made fun with wonders of nature - all hidden in their own oasis within the bustling city of Los Angeles! Enjoy kids!
