About this activity

It's all about having a WILD time in Idaho Falls at the Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park!

Here, kids can spend the day exploring all the animals of the world, as well as ones they might not have realized were so close to home! In fact, there are nearly 300 animals that you can say hi to on your next family day out.

You can encounter more than 28 Africa species in the zoo, from those grand lions to those beautiful zebras. Kids can watch the flock of threatened African Penguins or admire those unusual lemurs.

They can discover Asia and their many endangered species, including sloth bears and snow leopards. Part of the zoo experience is also learning about conservation, and how it's important to look after the animals on our plant. An invaluable education!

Head Down Under and experience those wallabies hop, or hear a kookaburra laugh. Make sure you check out the North America exhibit too, where you might just be surprised what is right on your doorstep!

Stop by the Children's Zoo and pat a donkey, feed a lamb or just relax on a bench and enjoy the beautifully landscaped grounds.

Idaho Falls Zoo also have some great events throughout the year, which you can look forward to! From Enrichment Day, to Late Night Fridays, Boo At The Zoo and even celebrating World Oceans Day, there are a host of special days out at the zoo for the kids and the family.

A WILD family day out in Idaho Falls, where the animals of the world have come to YOU!
