It's a place where kids can get up close with some of the most impressive automobiles ever created, AND they can learn all about the engineers and designers who made them possible!
Just a short drive from Tampa, the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum lets kids learn about the history of the automobile, and explore the creativity and imagination that needs to go into designing and producing each one.

Have you ever seen a Ford Mustang AWD, or come close to a "Rainy" Rolls Royce Sedanca?
There are a number of models from the Tatra and Tracta series, and a host of well known makes, from Maserati, Jaguar, Mercedes, and Citroen.
And yes...they have a Delorean!
Engineers such as Paul Jaray (the designer of the Zeppelin airships), Voisin (engineer of WWI aircraft), and Rumpler (WWI and beyond) are all mentioned in the exhibits so you can take home an education of the automobile history as well as marvel at the very cool collection.
Did you know that the "people's car" pre-WWII arrived in Europe as a solution to the challenges during the Great Depression? One of the few that survived was the VW Beetle....see, if you didn't know that, imagine what other fun facts you will learn at the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum!

The museum has collected and preserved incredible vehicles from history, and they are dedicated to telling the stories of the people behind the motors that changed the course of history
The gift shop have a limited amount of concessions.
Make sure you spend time reading about the history of the engineers as well as looking at the cars…it will really enhance your experience
They have a gift shop with rare items relating to the automobiles found in the collection.
They LOVE having groups visit! They are happy to offer you a docent-led tour if pre-arranged. Groups of 12 or more have a $5 admission fee.
