You can spend your days enjoying the numerous water activities, including swimming, or take advantage of the boat rentals available. There's a boat ramp for ease, as well as a fishing pier if you want to try and test those casting skills!
The park’s 500-foot beach is one of two public beaches on the lake.
Families can also enjoy picnicking, as well as a visitor center which is a great first stop to grab all the information you need. The park also has an amphitheater, as well as special programs. If you want to extend your stay, check out the camping and cabins available.
If you're feeling pretty active, head to the miles of trails that can be found throughout the park. In fact, there are 13 trails ranging from 0.5 miles to 3 miles.
The trails will take you through the park’s various features, including hardwood forests, beautiful pine forests, secluded coves and picturesque vistas. You might even spot some wildlife!

The park is on the north shore of Smith Mountain Lake in Bedford County, approximately 40 miles from both Lynchburg and Roanoke and 140 miles from Richmond. To get there, take U.S. 460 to Route 122 South to Moneta, then go east on Route 608 to White House. Next go south on Route 626 for two miles to park entrance.

Picnicking is very popular within the park, and there are plenty of spots that you can set those blankets and tuck in! They also have a snack shack there for concessions
Between the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day, guarded beach swimming is available for a fee.
