Roadside America is an incredible 8,000 square feet of miniature America! That's right! The model is fully landscaped, with over 300 miniature structures and even 18 trollies, cable cars and trains that actually work work run throughout the display!
Kids will love getting up close and seeing what they can spot. Perhaps something hidden in one of the 10,000 hand-made trees (that will take some time!), or looking at the expressions on the 4,000 miniature people all going about their day! Can you see people shopping? What are they buying? Perhaps you can spot the mail man delivering the post!
There are even interactive animations that can be activated by the kids, so they can be involved in making the town run! They could start a circus parade, or get the saw mill workers starting their day, and even enjoying watching the construction workers get busy!
There are real rivers, waterways and streams running through the town, which adds to hose realistic this incredible display is.
Kids can spend time looking at all the signs, bridges, and even white picket fences. If you lived here, what would you do? Which house you would live in? It's fun to imagine how your life might be like in this little village!
The display also lets kids go back in history, as the panorama covers life from the early 20th century to modern day. Can you see how it differs? How was life changed?
Choo Choo - the train's coming!
