It was a nice medium sized zoo and they are expanding. Prices were very reasonable. The food at the on site restaurant was fresh and priced like a normal restaurant. The souvenir store had some nice stuff. Since we didn’t spend much, I splurged and got my niece the big stuffed giraffe it was on special for $16.99. Staff was friendly. Glad we made the trip:)

Riverbank Zoo is an absolutely BEAUTIFUL place. I took my sons there and it was jst an amazing family trip. They have an exhibit where you can go in this barn with birds and hold a cup of nectar and the birds will fly right up to you and drink the nector. It’s a really fun place to go and make wonderful memories with your family!

A long time favorite from my own childhood to my children’s and now grandchildren’s. It keeps getting better and their special events like Boo at the Zoo and such are well worth it. Eat first and bring a water bottle… Then enjoy making sure to pay special attention to feeding times throughout the day. You can use this to follow the crowd or to simply avoid the moving group! Great place!

Awesome Gardens and Awesome animals! Definite must see if you’re in the area. If you do make it in to town I suggest the Homewood Suites as a great place to stay. Wonderful staff and accommodations only 3 miles from the Zoo it was perfect!

Bring water (the fountains can be hard to find) and enjoy. Riverbanks is a medium sized zoo that packs a lot into it. A day will give you solid time to see all the animal and most of the shows. Plan to go thru the fish & reptile section during the off-hours/ heat. Although many people skip the barn if they don’t have kids- do go. Lots of little things over there to see!
