About this activity

Kids, have you ever wanted to come face to face with those grand lions, or hear those cheeky prairie dogs chirp up close? Perhaps you wanted to see first hand how the zebras stripes are all different, or watch those curious primates play?

At Reid Park Zoo, it's all about giving kids those animal encounters that they won't be forgetting in a long time! With 24 acres within Tucson dedicated to giving animals beautiful natural habitats, it's a great family day out for the whole family!

It's at Reid Park Zoo that all the animals of the world come to YOU! You don't even have to leave to state to see elephants and giraffes from Africa, or tigers from Asia. There are those classic favorites like the rhino and the lemur, but then there are some that kids might never have heard of, such as the Fennec Fox or the tapir!

Did you know that there are even cockroaches at Reid Park Zoo? And why not! They are fascinating creatures too!

Don't worry if you love those creepy crawlies either, because there are plenty of reptiles to keep those curious kids entertained, including the python and the strange bearded dragon!

It's not just self-guided tours around the zoo that will fill your day. Kids can enjoy camel rides, and even ride the super fun wildlife carousel!

There is a fun zoo train just outside the front gate, and you might want to bring a change of clothes for the interactive play area! Kids can even hand feed a giraffe - how cool is that!?

So much more than just LOOKING at the animals, Reid Park Zoo gives you a completely interactive and immersive animal experience - and one that you might find yourself headed back to again and again!

Let's get WILD!
