Railroad Park is one of Birmingham's most popular parks and when you visit, you'll see why!
Hailed as "Birmingham's Living Room", Railroad Park spans 19 acres of green space in downtown Birmingham, celebrating the industrial and artistic heritage of such an amazing city!
Within this 19 acres, there are plenty of things to do with the kids in addition to the nine acres of open lawn! Railroad Park is a great place to have a some lunch, throw a little Frisbee, and even take a little jog or walk the dog!
Wtihin the park there are more than 600 trees that have been planted, which are a mixture of evergreens, hardwoods and flowering trees, making it an incredibly beautiful park to spend time in. There are even 50 Princeton elms alone (for all your tree fans!)
Did you know that Railroad Park is 30% water too? This beautiful lake is a stunning centerpiece, giving the city a cool oasis to escape into. There is also a stunning rain curtain, as well as a bio-filtration wetlands area and plenty ponds & streams everywhere to really bring the park to life.
Keep an eye out for the numerous family friendly events that the park holds throughout the year. These include the popular Symphony in the Summer (there's nothing quite like listening to classical music under the big ol' sky!), as well as Christmas walks and cook ups!
A park-tastic day out waiting for you at Railroad Park - "Birmingham's Living Room!"
