About this activity

Have you ever wondered what lives beneath those blue waters that cover the planet? Well, at Oregon Coast Aquarium you can discover the magic of the underwater world - and you don't even have to get wet!

There are amazing encounters and experiences just waiting for the whole family at this exciting aquarium. Have you ever wanted to get a fishy kiss from seal or sea lion? Perhaps you want to explore the depths of the aquarium itself on a behind the scenes tour?

You can even DIVE into the deep too!

Kids can watch those sea otters play, or uncover what really lives in those rocky shores. There are reefs to marvel at, and even a giant octopus to come face to face with!

Make sure you don't miss the Open Sea exhibit, where you can really feel like you have immersed yourself into the ocean realm! Here, you navigate your way through a series of underwater walkways where you are led from the dark, quiet canyons or the reef, through the sparkling and teeming waters of Halibut Flats, and then right out into the open sea!

It's an amazing experience for kids to pass through three ecosystems, reflecting what really happens in the Pacific Ocean as you most further out. Pretty neat!

It's not just UNDER the water that you can explore at Oregon Coast Aquarium either! Those beautiful shore birds that spend their life at sea except for breeding season can be found in the aviary - one of the largest of it's kind in North America! Even more neat!

So why not take that DIVE into the fascinating exhibits of the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and discover what makes the oceans so magical!
