About this activity

Kids - have you ever been on a plane, high up in the sky, taking you somewhere pretty cool? Planes are part of our world now, but they had to come from somewhere, and that's where the Olympic Flight Museum comes in.

The Olympic Flight Museum are dedicated to preserving the history of those aircraft that paved the way for the aircraft we know today!

This non-profit organization started to bring people together over the love of history, as well as the accomplishments of those within the aviation industry. They have created a museum where people can get excited about all things aviation, from the sounds, sights, and smells of flights.

As soon as you step into their impressive hangar, you will experience their collection or working vintage aircraft. How amazing is that!? There are historic exhibits from all eras, so it's great to enjoy some history lessons as you walk around.

The Olympic Flight Museum is great fun for kids too, as they can even climb inside a restored T-28 Trojan trainer, as well as enjoy an interactive experience with the UH-1 Huey Helicopter mobile where it will test their pilot skills!

The museum is also a great way for kids to learn about the people behind the aircraft. There are some pretty special men and women who paved the way for how we know aviation today, and it might inspire kids to do something great too!

Aviation fun for the family at this Washington museum. Come fly with me, come fly, let's fly away!
