The history of the world's largest outdoor rodeo and western celebration comes alive at the Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum!

The Old West is such a fascinating and iconic part of American history, and this fun museum offers a number of exhibits and year-round programming, plus activities that celebrate the heritage and pioneer spirit of the American West and the thrilling history of the world's first extreme sport.

The Old West Museum features some of the most intriguing and interesting western artifacts in the entire region, including one of the most extensive collections of carriages west of the Mississippi!

Kids can be transported back in time (great for those imaginations!) through the great adventure of "World's Largest Outdoor Rodeo and Western Celebration" through their various permanent exhibits that explore the history of Cheyenne Frontier Days.

Did you know that the very first rodeo happened in 1897, and since then they have grown and changed over the years to what you know today.

With brand new artifacts, digital interactives and displays, the Old West Musuem makes learning about the trials and triumphs of the Cheyenne Frontier Days even more exciting and amazing!

So kids, do you think you would have had what it takes to be the coolest and best cowboy or cowgirl in town all those years ago back in the Old West days? Well, you can STILL be the coolest come rodeo time now, so y'all ready for the Old West to come back to life?

The Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum is located in Frontier Park in historic Cheyenne, Wyoming. The state capital of Wyoming, Cheyenne is located 90 miles north of Denver, Colorado, at the junction of Interstates 25 and 80, along the route to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park.
