A museum JUST for kids in Texas? Yes please! The Northeast Texas Children's Museum is ALL about giving kids a fun day out where they can learn through play via a number of hands-on exhibits, workshops, classes & more.
Exhibits include a series of equipped roleplay stations where their imaginations can run wild! Perhaps kids want to be the next astronaut and fly into space, or visit the grocery store just like mom and dad.
Future dentists will love the dental surgery where they can learn all about tooth care, or those animal lovers might want to spend some time in the vets surgery!

The Northeast Texas Children’s Museum is located in the Watson Center building of Texas A & M University-Commerce on TX 24 and Culver Street (Hwy 178) in Commerce, Texas. Commerce is approximately 65 miles northeast of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

You are more than welcome to bring outside food, they just ask that you refrain from eating in their exhibit areas. They can also stamp your hand for re-entry if you want to head out for lunch too.
Socks required for toddler play so make sure you take a pair!
They have a gift store with items as low as $1.00, including Northeast Texas Children’s Museum t-shirts so bring that pocket money. All proceeds from purchases benefit the museum and its programs.
They LOVE hosting field trips from Sept 1 to May 31. There are a number of topics kids can learn about, from science-based lessons or "shows", and also allows kids to play in the museum. Give them a call for more details!

Free parking is available on the street in front of the museum. Parking is also available in the parking lot next to the museum.
