About this activity

It's a WILD day out in Florida with Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens! It's two amazing experiences in one as kids can explore a historic 45-acre botanical garden in the heart of Naples, AND explore the rare animals from all around the world that call it home!

Naples Zoo is filled with beautiful creatures that kids can meet, learn about, and spend time with. It's also in a beautiful setting, with the historic tropical gardens being founded back in 1919, filled with mature trees and exotic plants.

As you walk around notice the layout too, because the botanical garden was panned 50 years before the animals were introduced, so you can see the exhibits have been carefully designed to maximise the space!

Each of the exhibits are also home to some pretty amazing animals. Kids can see black bears playing, or the brown lemurs swiniging from the trees. In fact, Black Bear Hammock is the largest black bear exhibit east of the Mississippi River featuring backyard and native habitats.

Enjoy watching the grandness of the African lions, or swoon at the cuteness of the Clouded Leopard!

Did you know that Naples Zoo is the ONLY place in Southeast USA where you can see fosas? These are Madagascar's rare carnivores.

Leopard Rock and Tiger Forest allows guests to get up close to big cats through glass walls. Other feature exhibits include Panther Glade, and Petrof's Primate Pavilion.

Let's not forget about the reptiles and birds too!

Your admission to Naples Zoo also includes a handful of other experiences too. The Safari Canyon open-air theater combines the fascinating information and wildlife footage of a nature program with the thrill of experiencing those same animals live -- from unusual carnivores to venomous snakes.

The primate expedition cruise gives you a deeper insight into these jungle and forest favorites, kids can see alligators being fed by hand, and the Keeper Series allows you to learn even more about the animals that you know and love!

History, wildlife, nature and so much more at Naples Zoo & Caribbean Gardens. It's time to walk on your WILD side in Florida!

Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens FAQ’s

Although much has changed over the Zoo's 90 year history, its mission remains rooted in conservation as it seeks to delight guests with the natural world to inspire the conservation of our planet's wild areas and their wondrous inhabitants.

Changing tables are available in the men's and women's restrooms. A family restroom is located in the Zoo and the main restrooms have a secondary entrance for family or handicap use.

There are a number of places to fill those tummies! Wynn's Cafe offers signature sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks and drinks. Safari Canyon Snacks is where kids can pick up pretzels, popcorn & more tasty treats, plus there is Wynn's Jungle Cafe right on the water where you can enjoy frozen treats and snacks and watch the primates!

Visit early in the day. Cool days are best. Make sure to read your map and schedule to see all the presentations: they're the best of the zoo. Don't forget sunblock and a hat and your comfy shoes.

The ZOO Gift Shop offers a variety of items for animal lovers whether it's a wild stuffed animal to spark a child's imaginary trip to Africa or a nature book to make your next backyard adventure more exciting.
And remember, the shop is open to the public you do not need to pay zoo admission. The zoo donates ten percent of the retail price of all plush primates and carnivores toward conservation projects to help them in the wild.

There are camps, encounters, self-guided as well as guided field trips, so why not give kids a field trip where they can make some animal friends! A great learning experience
