About this activity

Ever had someone tell you science can't be fun?  Well, you are about to prove them wrong! The Children's Science Center at the Museum of Science and Industry in Tampa is the largest children's science center in the NATION!

It's a fun, and interactive not-for-profit community based center purely to allow kids and their families to enjoy, learn, understand and appreciate science.

There are over 10,000 sq feet of playful and fun interactive exhibitions on the science behind life - such as natural disasters, and the world of humans.  Yes - that means you!  You can uncover all the scientific secrets that make you who you are - from the moment you were born until you're very very old!

Get active on the Sky Trail Ropes Course which features 36 elements and a 12 - 36 foot high structure. You know you want to!

The Slippery Science exhibit allows kids to learn about friction, physics and reaction time, and Mission: Moonbase is a super cool area located in "Kids In Charge!" where you can immerse yourself in the wonderful world of space through reality simulations and virtual views.  Reach out and try and touch the moon!

The center is also home to the states largest IMAX Dome Theatre, and did we say there was a high-wire bicycle?  Well, there is!

Keep an eye out for the ever changing exhibitions - it will give you a reason to keep coming back and they are not to be missed.

An educational and fun day out for the whole family.
