About this activity

It's time to enjoy a FREE admission art-tastic day out at the Missoula Art Museum, whose collection is home to over 2,100 artworks, including nearly 200 works that were acquired back from 1975 until 1994, when the museum was known as the Missoula Museum of the Arts.

In fact, it's these early acquisitions that comprise the Missoula County Art Collection at the Missoula Art Museum!

This art-filled museum collects, preserves, exhibits, and researches art all relevant to the culture of the American West. The museum also has an emphasis on contemporary Montana artists, which is amazing!

The collections within the museum preserve the region's unique, emerging cultural heritage and helps all families and children who visit to learn all about the community and contemporary art, as well as to challenge and inspire!

In addition to wandering through the collections and taking it all in, you can enjoy free tours too!

An art-tastic day out in Missoula!
