About this activity

We know about those museums filled with 'No Touch" signs...but we prefer the ones where you can touch EVERYTHING!

The Maryland Science Center is a super FUN and interactive experience for kids where they can really get their hands stuck in to learn! The museum is filled with exhibits that cover a whole range of topics, from Planet Earth and The Human Body and of course, dinosaurs!

Ever wanted to zoom into your own body to check out all the amazing cells that make you up? In one exhibition kids can actually fly through a virtual call, or walk through a giant maze to experience how proteins are made!

Roll up your sleeves, it's The Shed! Part laboratory, part workshop, this very cool exhibit hosts different programs and events across the year, as well as fun drop in activities each day. Kids can learn all about how things work, and how to use different tools - great for them learning new skills!

If you have little ones, the Kids Room is a place they might want to go! Just for kids under 8 years old, they can play in the large water play area, or explore an underwater world with a submarine. With buttons to push and blocks to build with, these little engineers and explorers will have a great time!

The Maryland Science Center also offers a number of Science Encounters where kids can really explore! Mind-boggling and hair-raising topics are shown on the Demonstration Stage each day, and if you want to check out some planets and stars, the rooftop has it's very own computer controlled observatory where kids can look deep into space.

An amazing experience for kids where they can really get hands-on and creative at the Maryland Science Center - it makes learning FUN!
