About this activity

The Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum is where you can explore the fascinatingly rich maritime history and heritage of Biloxi and the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

The exhibits within the museum explore a range of topics relating to the industry and its history. You can see exhibits on shrimping, as well as oystering, and even recreational fishing.

Kids can learn about the ecology of the wetlands, and even about managing marine resources. Did you know how a shrimp peeling machine works? Well, this is the place to learn!

There are hundreds of one-of-a-kind artifacts throughout the exhibits, all related to the Biloxi seafood industry. In fact, there is 20,000 sq ft of exhibit space to explore!

The Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum has also brought to life local maritime history and heritage by replicating two 65' two masted Biloxi Schooners, and they actually sail the Mississippi Sound, and the waters of the north central Gulf of Mexico almost daily!

Don't miss the museum WITHIN a museum, by checking out the Wade Guice Hurricane Museum, with 1,400 sq ft of exhibit space PLUS a state of the art theater!

Did you think the maritime and seafood industry history would be so fascinating? Well, there is even MORE to discover at this Biloxi museum, so let's get this maritime adventure started!
