With easy access from two major highways, Lower Huron Metropark family out! This popular park covers 1,258 acres, teeming with woodland, river and grassy meadows. Of course, you have the scenic Huron River too!

For those active families, it's perfect!

Lower Huron Metropark is great to run or in-line skate along the paved trail. Biking is also fun to enjoy there too.

Come summer time, you can coast down a super fun water slide or just drift along the lazy river at the Turtle Cove Family Aquatic Center.  Open seasonally, it's here you can zip and slide the day away, get soaked under a 300 gallon dumping bucket, or wade into a zero depth entry pool!

Yes, there are lap lanes too!

Let's not forget about all the other fun features at this popular park!

There is kayaking and canoeing out on the river, and if you don't have your own kayaks don't worry, you can rent them!

Active kids can enjoy time on the basketball and volleyball courts, and even play a spot of tennis! 

Explore the park on foot via the three rustic trails that will take you through beautiful, mature woodlands, or perhaps kids would rather play in the largest playground in the park, which is found in the Woods Creek picnic area. Smaller play areas are located at different points in the park.

The grill at the water park offer food and drinks, and there is also a food service available for those not in the waterpark

If you enter the waterpark after 5pm, you get a discount admission of just $7 per person!

There are plenty of picnic areas to enjoy a packed lunch too!
