About this activity

There is almost TOO much to enjoy at Tennessee's Lost Sea Adventure!

First, let's explore what is iconic about the area - how about the amazing caverns you can explore? The caverns have been known and used since the days of the Cherokee Indians. From the tiny natural opening on the side of the mountain, the cave expands into a series of huge rooms.

Your adventure in the caverns begins with a guided tour as you take on a ¾ mile round-trip walk on wide sloping pathways. Your knowledgable guide can tel you all about the fascinating geology, how the caverns were formed, and why the formations are so rare!

When you come to the bottom of the cave, you get to enjoy a glass-bottom boat for an exciting trip on the Lost Sea, the largest underground lake in the USA! Did you ever think you'd be getting a boat to something in the Guinness Book of World Records?

However, it's not just underground adventures waiting at Lost Sea Adventures! Before or after your tour, you can go back in time to Old Sweetwater Village, where authentic log cabins, gem mines and glassblowers too! It's a ye olde adventure where you can learn about history AND have a great time - all the while eating ice cream. Could it get any better!

With daily tours, it's the perfect way to enjoy a day out with a difference seeing one of Mother Natures most amazing creations!
