Hello? Who's that? Oh...hi nature, thanks for calling. We would LOVE to visit Lake Havasu State Park and enjoy the activities that the whole family will love!
Feeling active? Then let's get hiking on the amazing hiking trail which winds its way along the shoreline and through the lowland desert. There is also a fascinating interpretive area - the Arroyo-Camino Interpretive Garden - which is a great way for kids to really learn about all the diverse life within the park. From birds, cottontails, and lizards...all common sights in the area - how many will you see!
Feeling a bit...fishy? Then get those rods out, get settled in and get that family out to some beautiful fishing spots in Lake Havasu State Park. Fish most commonly caught are great species like striped bass, catfish, sunfish and various species of bass. You do need a valid licence for those over 10 years of age.
That hot Arizona sun getting a bit too much? Then let's cool down! This state park has a large swimming area at their day-use beach. Keep in mind there isn't a lifeguard on duty so make sure it really is a family affair if you head down there.
Boating more your thing? Head on over to the two boat ramps - it's an amazing place to get out and enjoy the water!
And of course - wildlife! It's a state park, so of course there are some amazing species that you might encounter! From bobcats, kangaroo rats, turkey vultures, hummingbirds....amazing species!
If you do find there is too much to do on one family day out, stay overnight and enjoy another one! Lake Havasu State Park has a campground with camp sites and RV sites - make it an experience!

The state park really look after their wildlife and nature, so help them out by picking up after yourself, and not leaving trash in the park.
Check out the Junior Ranger programs for kids! It's a great activity book where kids can earn their ranger badge - sir yes sir!
Why don't you bring your own lunch and enjoy the picnic areas in the day beach areas? There are grills, potable water, as well as shady areas for those particularly sunnier days!
There are handicap restrooms available within the park.
The campgrounds start at $30 per night - great bargain for your family camping experience!
