If you are looking for some adventure, it doesn't always have to be on land!
Kern River Outfitters are a great way to explore the beautiful wilderness of California, as you take to the waters of Kern River.
They offer a number of tours and excursions, that range from full days to multiple days, so you can find the perfect adventure for your family!
There are three areas of the river that you can explore. The Upper Kern offers you the full day rafting tour on class III and IV rapids. There are a number of different sections to take on, and your experienced guides will choose the best section for you each day (which means you will always get the best adventure!)
If you want to REALLY challenge yourselves, then why not book on the Thunder Run? When the water conditions are perfect, those with prior experience can take on some of the biggest rapids in the area! Not ideal for younger kids or first timers, it certainly can give you the challenge and thrills that you are after!
Then, you have the Lower Kern. Here, you can enjoy overnight or two-day trips that still give you some unique experiences, including camping out on the riverside. You can sleep on your private sleeping decks around the site, and summer is so lovely you won't need any special camping gear!
Kern River Outfitters have been recognized as one of the premiere rafting outfitters on the entire Kern River, so you know you are in safe hands with the experienced guides. They will look after you, offer you the best campsites for those overnighters, and cook up some pretty special camp meals!
So why not have some family adventure out in Kern County? It's a great way for those older kids to get out and enjoy nature!
