A day at the International Wildlife Museum is a WILD day of learning, exploration and yes, animals! In fact, the museum highlights over 400 species of animals, all in mounted displays so you can get a close up view of not only your favorites, but perhaps some you never have heard of!
Founded in 1988, the museum features an amazing range of insects, mammals and birds, with some of the collections more than 100 years old
All of the animals at the museum were donated by various government agencies, wildlife rehabilitation centers, captive breeding programs, zoos and individuals, to ensure they can help educate kids and adults alike on how truly unique and wonderful nature is.
The dioramas depicting wild animals are all set out as their natural setting would be, so you can gain an understanding of what life in the wild would have been like for them.
The hands-on exhibits promote wildlife appreciation and conservation, and offers an insight into their habitats, characteristics and lifestyle.
From the mighty grizzly bear, to adorable penguins, and big horned sheep, the International Wildlife Museum is a zoo with a difference, so why not walk on the wild side on your next family day out, and see just how amazing animals can be!
