Very disappointing in contrast to other contemporary zoos. The entire property and the animal habitats have aged and need total rehabilitation. The animals are rather dispersed and we felt disappointed that the zoo has not provided the space nor the quality of environment for the various animals that are kept there. The zoo has aged to the point where it needs a large infusion of capital to keep it going and it appears to us to be a property with a lot of deferred maintenance. It was clean and it appears the management is doing what they can with their available resources, but the animal habitats must be updated, and if the management can’t provide for a better quality of life for the animals they should probably consider moving some of the animals to zoos that have been updated and provide a decent environment. I also felt the admission was very high and although we were not there with children, everything was extra.

Wow, what a great zoo! Most certainly one of the best I’ve been to. Our favorite part was feeding giraffes! Very few zoos offer this and the pretty girl that helped my children was an encyclopedia of knowledge about the giraffes and their habitat! I never knew giraffes could be so interesting! Also my older son enjoyed a camel ride. I would recommend spending at least 3 hours there.

The spaces are too tiny for most of the animals, especially some of the bigger ones. Where’s the SPCA when you need them? I have no objection to the high admission prices because there are a lot of beautiful and interesting animals to look at. I just wish that the staff would improve the living conditions for these cute critters.

Bring big bucks with you and be prepared to stay all day. Thirty-six (36) dollars for each adult (and no senior rate) was a mood killer. It might be a great zoo, but I will never know. Never made it past the front gate. All depends on how much $$$ you love animals.

so I went to the zoo lights last night and well my experience wasnt as great an old man stepped over my foot with a wheel car on purpose and said “that why you shouldn’t be texting and walking” I wasn’t texting I was taking pictures! ? and security didn’t see that but saw that a ducky trying to grab something out of my hand?! I dont know but people are really rude too my parents had barely sat down when a family decided to ask them to move because they wanted to take a picture? sorry but really rude, and the lights they were great but they didn’t use tje whole zoo as before several years ago. not really feeling that spending 16 or 18 is worth it if your gonn be treated badly? 🙁

This is a very nice family outing, with or without children. People of all ages will enjoy this wonderful zoo. My three teens, ages 14-18, had an incredible, unforgettable and “good ‘ol times” (like when the kids were little) family trip. The habitats were well maintained, clean and spacious for the animals. The zoo provides a natural, nature path throughout the animal exhibits and plenty of natural shade is present. Staff is extremely nice and welcoming and genuinely friendly. Costs are great and affordable, bathrooms are spacious, modern and very clean and stocked. We loved it and bought a family membership…….we live an hour away.
