About this activity

"We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal..."

You know the words from school, now visit where they were actually spoken! Independence National Historical Park is a collection of those infamous places in history which shaped and created America! You can feel the spirit of Benjamin Franklin as soon as you arrive!

So...let's take a walk through history!

Independence Hall is literally the birthplace of America? Do you know what happened there? We hope so! That incredible document called the Declaration Of Independence, as well as the U.S Constitution were both debated and signed there! Pretty incredible!

Timed entry tickets are needed from March to December, but you don't need tickets in January and February (these tickets are free if you pick them up the morning of your visit from the visitor center!)

Here's a fun fact - there are 39 names on the constitution and only 38 signers - why is this? If you don't know, all the more reason to visit!

The famous Liberty Bell Center is nearby - the original liberty bell! Do you know how it got that famous crack?

The one and only Benjamin Franklin Museum features fun hands-on interactive exhibits on the life and character of one of the great icons in American history. You will really get a sense of who this great man was!

If you are an art lover, the Portrait Gallery have original paintings of the founding fathers. The building itself is pretty special too, so make sure you take a good look around!

Liberty, justice, and family fun for all!
