About this activity

What do you know about Miami - super sandy white beaches and beautiful sun?  There is that, yes!  But HistoryMiami will show you the 10,000 years of history that made Miami how you know it today!

There are over 37,000 objects in their collections... That's a lot to take in.  (Well, a lot has happened!)  There are over 19,000 maps, over a million (yes a MILLION!) photographs and objects ranging from Pre-Columbian to modern day life.

Interesting exhibits are showcased throughout the year where you can feel what it was like to really live like they did all those thousands of years ago.  Can you imagine how they would have lived?  Museums are not just for looking at what has happened, but IMAGINING how it happened.  There is also a fun 1920's trolley to take you back in time,

Some of these galleries are rotating so you can be sure there will always be something for you to see...if you have made it through all million photographs of course!

The museum also offer educational tours - city, school and private - for adults and students of all ages where you are taken on a memorable journey into Miami's neighbourhoods and landmarks. There are fun boat tours, entertaining walking tours, and even coach tours so you can choose the perfect learning experience and culture immersing experience for your family.  There are even eco-history tours!

You will never look at Miami the same again!
