Historic RailPark and Train Museum
Travel back in time as you experience the golden era of passenger travel. A guided walking tour through vintage rail cars leads you through a Post Office car, Dining car, Sleeper Car, Office Car and the Red Caboose. A self-guided tour allows you to wander the museum at your leisure.
Active a model railroad;experience the hobo life; learn about the Conductor, Cook and Engineer's experience on the train; hear the story of the Great Locomotive Chase; watch movies in the theater and much, much more!
Play area in the Gift Shop allows kids to dress up like Hobo's, climb on an over sized toy train and a Brio Table for little engineers. It should be clarified that there are no actual train rides available.
I-65 South to Exit 28. Travel 3 miles. Historic RailPark will be on the right.
I-65 North to Exit 26. Travel 3 miles. Turn right onto Kentucky St. Historic RailPark will be immediately on the left.

The Museum is located in an historic building. All activities occur inside except for a short walk to the train for the guided tour.
Changing tables provided in restrooms.

Gift shop provides unique gifts to take home to friends and family, or as a special memory of your visit.
Lesson plans may be found online. Included are various topics such as the Civil War and the Railroad, The Great Locomotive Chase and the First Medal of Honor, and Hoboes.

The museum is handicap accessible, but the rail cars are not.
