Are you ready for a WILD day out in Louisiana? Great, because we're off to Gators & Friends, a very cool alligator park AND petting zoo!

Not only can you have pretty awesome animal interactions and experiences, but they also want to increase awareness among the public of the different types of animals their habitat, lifestyle and survival techniques, so it's a wonderful educational opportunity too.

You and your family can watch in amazement as giant alligators feed, wrestle and swim! These remarkable creatures will alternately awe and scare you as you view them in their natural habitat.

In addition to the huge reptiles, Gators and Friends has a fully stocked petting zoo where you and the kids can walk among tame and cuddly animals (and pet and feed them!) including miniature horses, kangaroos, ring-tailed lemurs, deer, coatimundis, goats, llamas, a camel, a capybara (the largest rodent in the world), and even a Scottish cow!

Get up close and personal with these sweet and exotic animals, and you might just want your camera!

If you want to add just that little bit more excitement into your day (if being around alligators wasn't enough!), check out the zipline experience for that adrenaline boost!

So kids, it's time to enjoy a snap-happy day out in this super cool wildlife park, so we better SNAP to it!

Gators & Friends FAQ’s

They want to break down the misconceptions of how dangerous animals are (or aren't), and also teach kids how to properly look after even their own pets at home!

It's not just the alligators that need feeding! The Snack Shack has a number of hot and cold items, including chicken nuggets, meat pies, crawfish pies (YUM!), corndogs, french fries and more!

Grab some animal feed, it's only $2.50 for a cup, and $1.50 for a refill! Pony rides are $5, and the ziplines start from $34.95!

The Gift Shop has authentic Louisiana and animal themed gifts, and kid friendly goodies too!

School tours are offered weekdays from May to mid-August, then Wednesday to Friday for rest of year. Just call ahead to schedule in!
