This popular Pennsylvania zoo offers 11 beautifully themed and landscaped gardens that you can explore, plus nearly 400 animals representing 100 species to observe in naturalistic habitats.

Erie Zoo features a number of different habitats that you can explore, each one containing a certain species of animals. Wild Asia is where kids can come face to face with a number of stunning creatures including the Red Panda and Bornean Orangutan.
Safariland is home to Mouflon Sheep and deer, or head to the Center Zoo filled with those creatures you know and love, including North American River Otters, Porcupines, Sloth, Giraffe & more!
Did you ever think you would spot an Amur Leopard in the Barn Area? At Erie Zoo you can! The Barn Area is where you can learn all about leopards, lynx, tortoise, and those domestic creatures including pot bellied pigs and turkeys.
Kids might also learn about some creatures they have never heard of, including the Patagonia Cavy. There's a first for everything!
Also at Erie Zoo are fun rides that the kids can enjoy. Carousel and train ride are also available for an additional $3 per person per ride, and is a fun way to take a break from all that learning!
Educational guided tours are also available, which is a great way to get the most out of your visit.

You won't go hungry with the various concession stands available throughout the park! The hours of operation and menus vary depending on the season, weather, and attendance. The food menus include a variety of options including Smith's hotdogs, popcorn, cotton candy, Coke products, and many other delicious items to satisfy your appetite or thirst during your visit!
They recommend that you plan for at least 1.5 – 2 hours time for a visit to the Zoo.
Take that pocket money because there is a Zoo Gift Shop filled with gifts and merchandise to take home, including plush toys, bags, souvenirs & more!
There are so many ways for the students to learn about the animals! They offer outreach programs, field trips, classroom presentations & more!
For those with special needs, wheelchairs are located in the gift shop. The Erie Zoo, including the Safariland Train and Wildlife Carousel, is wheelchair accessible.
