Experience the great outdoors with over 500 acres of rich woodlands at the Environmental Studies Center!

Kids can spend the day surrounded by deer and other wildlife, as they experience firsthand the natural environment and the interrelationships governing our living world.

So a great learning experience for the kids!

The area around the Environmental Studies Center offers a host of amazing landscapes for the kids to explore and learn about, including pine and bay forests, swamps, freshwater streams, carnivorous plant bogs, and a twenty-acre lake. Pretty amazing!

For those active families, don't miss the numerous nature and hiking trails, or you can explore a bit further afield with the STARLAB Planetarium. If that wasn't enough, you can check out the live animal exhibits, native plants garden, and multipurpose instruction building which includes exhibit space containing live reptiles and amphibians, a salt-water aquarium, and numerous preserved specimens. Phew!
