About this activity

An animal encounter as a child is an incredible and unforgettable experience! Deer Ranch is known as the "oldest live whitetail exhibit in North America", and lets kids and the family experience these beautiful creatures in a beautiful, natural setting!

Deer Ranch has dozens of sweet and beautifully natured native Michigan whitetail deer, as well as white deer. There are even fawns! (Kids - fawns are baby deer. That's right - baby deer are there!)

Kids will be able to experience these creatures in a natural setting which keeps the deer stress free and in a happy home, and gives kids to observe them in their true habitat. It's an education as well!

They will be roaming happy and free in their open habitat, and your experience will take you along a nature trail, where you can take all the photographs of the deer that you want. If you're lucky and they come up to you, you can even FEED them right out of your hand!

How amazing would that be!?

Deer Ranch has been letting families experience the deer since 1950, so they certainly know how to give you all an time!

If you love the idea of the fawns being there, they do bottle feed a few of them each year, so call ahead and see when they might be doing that and you might be able to help! Definitely one for the camera!

A beautiful and natural experience for the whole family, and one that can teach kids all about animals, their behaviors, and how they have their own personality - which is why it's so important for us to look after them!

We can't wait to see your photos!
