It's tough growing up, especially if you feel a little different to the other kids, or feel a bit left out. Clemyjontri Park doesn't care if you are in a wheelchair, or slightly different from other kids. In fact, they have designed this incredible playground with you in mind!

Children of all abilities can play side-by-side. They have ramps connecting structures to allow those wheelchairs access just like everyone else. The swings have high backs and arm rests, as well as other safety features, and there is rubber surfacing which allows wheelchairs to roll easily.

They even have lowered monkey bars to provide easy access!

Every piece of equipment is rich in sensory experiences so all kids can have fun and play with their friends, and really develop themselves.

They can challenge themselves and their balance on the balance beams, and even race their friends on the mini-track. Who will cross the finish line first!? There are playhouses and cubbies to explore, and develop social interaction, as well as allowing children needing those quiet spaces to have their moment.

What would a fun play are be without spinning tea cups and prancing horses! The carousel is ground level to allow for wheelchairs, so kids can transfer for the tea cups easily and still enjoy the ride with their friends!

Imagination can be stimulated on the Movin and Groovin Transportation Area, or the Rainbow Room encourages sign language and Braille reading. And of course, teaches the colors of the rainbow!

Clemyjontri Park FAQ’s

The park is a great place to enjoy picnics, and there is direct access to the picnic pavilion from the playground. These are available on a first come first served basis. There are also additional picnic tables available in the park.

Most visitors come to the park between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m so try coming on the off peak hours.

The whole park is amazingly accessible for all kids an abilities. A special feature popular with kids is The Liberty Swing, which allows children in wheelchairs the opportunity to experience the joy of having a swing in the park. It is the only swing of its type that can allow the kids to really feel the sensation of swinging, and not just rocking back and forth!

The park really is quite large and filled with play equipment, so if you have more than one small child, it's best to have a second adult to ensure you can keep an eye on them the whole time.
