The Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut is ALL about giving kids a place to learn through play, but the great thing is - they won't realize they are even learning!
This Connecticut children's museum is filled with fun and educational hands-on activities, where kids can let their imaginations run wild, and they can explore the big world around them. In fact, there is about 5,000 sq ft of exploring to do!
Each exhibit encourages the kids to learning something different, across a range of topics from science, art, health, and world cultures!
A visit to the Imagination Station offers those little ones an imaginative play area complete with a lighthouse, fishing boat, and even a lighthouse! There are some pretty fun big blue foam blocks that they can get creative with. Perhaps they even want to catch and sell the fish of the day at the Fish Market!
Then there's the Discovery Room, where a marvelous menagerie awaits! You can come face to face with Lady Waldorf, the bearded dragon, or Mr Rogers, the Russian tortoise! Super cute! Whilst there with their new friends, kids can channel the engineers in them, and design a golfball cascade, or an amazing structure with Citiblocks. Those green thumbs can plan an indoor garden, or fill the air with music from the pip organ. How cool does that sound!
Those adventurous explorers will love the Outdoor Playspace too, where they can see an amazing view of Long Island South right from the top of the Tree House!
They can make a splash in the water table, or even perform a concert - if they're not too busy playing with the bubbles!
Learning, fun, play, adventure....sounds like a fantastic family day out at the Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut!
