Did you know that the Cascades Raptor Center is home to one of the largest collections of native raptor species in the Pacific Northwest? That's a pretty amazing family day out waiting to happen!

During your visit to this non-profit nature center, you can view nearly 50 birds of prey in large outdoor aviaries. Here, kids can learn all about these amazing creatures, as well as all of their individual stories and how they came to arrive at the raptor center.

Cascades Raptor Center is in fact a hospital for birds of prey in Eugene, where they care for and rehabilitate these birds. Not only that, they love to educate all who visit to learn to value, understand and honor the role of wildlife within preserving the natural and cultural heritage of the Pacific Northwest.  

Some of these creatures were hit by cars, or attacked by cats, and so the center offers that invaluable lesson for kids about why it's important to care for the animals, and what they bring to our planet!

During your visit at the raptor center you might spy twelve kinds of owls, eight species of hawks, five types of falcons, and kites, vultures, eagles and more. The visitor center is also a fun place where kids can see nests, eggs, skeletons, and touchable artifacts the amazing intricacy of our wild world.

Kids can also learn about the artistry of feathers, the power of the beak and talon, and even the camouflage shapes and patterns!

Your regular admission gets you a self-guided tour, but you can also book a Personal Tour or the Ultimate Raptor Experience for groups up to 4 people if you want something different
